Connect Gmail
Connect your Gmail mailbox with an app password over IMAP and SMTP. Mailera tests the login before saving, so you know right away whether the mailbox works.
Connection steps
Mailera also shows these instructions next to the input field when you add a Gmail mailbox.
- Enable 2-Step Verification for your Google account (Google Account → Security).
- Open Google's App passwords page, enter “Mailera” as the name, then click Create.
- Copy the 16-character code Google displays and paste it into the field beside this guide — spaces are removed automatically.
What you need
- Enable 2-step verification
- Workspace: administrator approval
Note IMAP is always enabled in Gmail. For Google Workspace, your company administrator must allow app passwords. Changing your Google password revokes app passwords.
